Dong ministry and meeting people where they are in life.
Welcome to our Memory Care Ministry, a compassionate and dedicated outreach designed to support individuals and families affected by memory-related conditions. Our ministry is rooted in the belief that every person, regardless of their cognitive challenges, deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and love. We aim to create a nurturing environment where those with memory impairments can find solace, companionship, and spiritual enrichment.
Our programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals with any form of dementia, and other memory-related conditions. We offer a range of activities that stimulate the mind, encourage social interaction, and provide spiritual nourishment. Through music, art, storytelling, and prayer, we strive to enhance the quality of life for our participants, fostering moments of joy and connection.
In addition to supporting those with memory impairments, our ministry extends a helping hand to caregivers and families. We understand the challenges and emotional toll that come with caregiving, and we are here to offer resources, support groups, and respite care. Our goal is to create a community where everyone feels supported, understood, and uplifted.
Join us in this journey of compassion and care. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those touched by memory loss, celebrating each person’s life story and ensuring they remain an integral part of a faith community.https://wallet.subsplash.com/ui/embed/T237HW/
Welcome to our Bereavement Support Ministry, a place of solace, understanding, and companionship for those navigating the profound journey of grief. Our ministry is dedicated to providing compassionate support to individuals and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. We believe that in times of sorrow, no one should walk alone, and it is our mission to offer a comforting presence and a listening ear.
Grief is a deeply personal and often overwhelming experience, and it can be challenging to find a path forward. Our Bereavement Support Ministry offers a safe and nurturing environment where those in mourning can share their stories, express their emotions, and find comfort in the company of others who understand their pain. Through support groups, one-on-one counseling, and spiritual guidance, we strive to help individuals process their grief and begin to heal.
We provide a variety of resources and programs designed to meet the unique needs of each person. Whether it is through prayer, group discussions, memorial services, or practical assistance, we are here to support you every step of the way. Our trained volunteers and pastoral staff are committed to walking alongside you, offering hope and encouragement as you navigate the difficult days ahead.
In addition to supporting individuals, we also offer guidance and education to families and friends who want to better understand the grieving process and learn how to support their loved ones. Our aim is to foster a compassionate community where everyone can find peace and solace.
Join us in our Bereavement Support Ministry, where together, we can find strength, comfort, and healing in the midst of loss. Through faith and fellowship, we seek to honor the memory of those who have passed and provide a beacon of light to those who remain.
Here in East Tennessee there are close to 1,000 people who live outside every day. Some use abandoned buildings. Some stay in homeless shelters when space is available. Most are like nomads and wonder from place to place. Many people do not realize the majority of the homeless are not in large cities like Knoxville, but rather in outlying rural areas.
We often hear stories from people who spend most of their day trying to find a place to sleep, food to eat, and clothes to wear. To avoid being removed by the police or having their personal items stolen by other homeless individuals, most move every day or two. This becomes their normal.
Currently, we are accepting donations for the backpacks we put together for our homeless neighbors. We try to pack these with items they may need depending on the time of year. Below is a list of items that can always be used by the homeless. https://wallet.subsplash.com/ui/embed/T237HW/
